Sweets for Teachers
Our 4-6 grade teachers meet twice a month and enjoy a snack brought in by a parent. Today was the day I had signed up for at the beginning of the school year, and I picked up some marvelous treats from a very popular bakery.......this close-up doesn't show most of them, but trust me, they looked sooooooo good (and I don't even care for sweets, LOL).

Village Peacock
LOL, not quite the Village Idiots! These guys live in the neighborhood across the way........they've been hanging out for soooo long and only recently some *concerned* citizens had a bunch moved out east somewhere because of the over-population. They are fun to watch, especially during mating season when the males strut their stuff with their feathers. The pea hens (i.e. the ladies) are quite drab in appearence......*sigh* They are fabulous moms....I've seen the little ones following mama like perfect children LOL.
People drive from all over to try to get pics of them......it's on the local website as an activity to see......

Wall of Stickers
Needless to say, my son is making darned good use of my old (and not too terribly old) stickers from paper scrapping. Don't know if these will come off easily at some point....oh well. You know what though? It's okay........it's a wall, he's having a blast, and there's already enough restrictions and limitations in life. He asked permission before he started, and he also asked permission to use certain stickers. LOL I just didn't know how big this project was going to become. He's still at work on it tonight.......he's gone around the window and it looks pretty cool. Will have to update with another photo!

Tip of the Key
It's so cool how the tip of Longboat Key looks like a petrified forest. I have photos from about 11 years ago which shows fallen limbs, but not like this. This has changed just over the last three or so years due to the hurricanes, tropical storms, and near-miss hurricanes which, when out in the Gulf of Mexico, actually increase out tides to a point where things flood. And, needless to say, salt water is NOT friendly.....to anything on land.
